Philharmonic Hall
The new Munich Concert Hall is conceived as a new urban landmark and represents the opportunity to turn a cultural building into a unique place to stay and meet within the so-called Werkviertel and the city of Munich. The clear geometric design allows the building to naturally fit into its nearer urban environment: a building that takes advantage of the maximum permitted height of 26m, while keeping a wide free area free on the ground floor. The concert hall conveys a timeless, strong and unfathomable presence through the means of design used, which establishes an independent relationship with the environment. In the balance between the monumentality of its proportions and the simplicity of its lines, together with the expressiveness of the facade lies the peculiarity of the new building.
