Abby Kortrijk has been nominated for the 2026 EUmies Awards. The project extends and transforms the historically significant Groeninge Abbey into a space for site-specific temporary exhibitions and public events. Located in Begijnhof Park, in the centre of Kortrijk, Abby Kortrijk offers a new type of museum experience—open, flexible, and rooted in its urban and cultural context. The new architecture is restrained and reasoned, defined by subtle and well-considered interventions that create a balance between the new and the existing, enhancing the history of the site and providing new spaces for the future.
Architectural Record
United States
Dynafit Headquarters has been honored with the title of “Building of the Year” by the Record editors, recognizing its custom architecture and refined design excellence. Jury member David Farnsworth praised the building’s thoughtful composition, stating: ‘What looks like a simple exterior massing from afar becomes more detailed through facade articulation and exterior shading. The intersection of the two pyramidal shapes creates an atrium that engenders connections across the interior program. This is a jewel of a building: refined and finely detailed and full of surprises.’ The award celebrates not only the building’s aesthetic sophistication but also its commitment to fostering collaboration and creativity within its interior spaces.
